The Center for Applied Innovation Seeks Non-Profit Needs Organizations for the Invent for Humanity? Technology Transfer Exchange Fair

Chicago, IL (PRWEB) May 04, 2011

The Center for Applied Innovation (CAI) is seeking non-profit organizations to feature in the Invent for Humanity? Technology Transfer Exchange Fair, taking place concurrently with the LESI Global Technology Impact Forum (GTIF) on January 24-25, 2012 in Geneva, Switzerland.

Invent for Humanity is seeking non-profit organizations specialized in the effective deployment of Appropriate Technology within developing economies, representing needs across nine categories: Shelter, Health, Water, Enterprise, Education, Energy & Environment, Agriculture, Access to IT, and Mobility.

If your needs organization is interested in participating, please submit your application for consideration. Programs are underway to obtain funds in order to underwrite leading campaigns (matched technology and need) deployed during Invent for Humanity.

While a multitude of organizations and individuals have created Appropriate Technology ? field-ready, sustainable solutions for developing countries, implementation has been difficult. Currently, there is no transparent marketplace for humanitarian IP licensing and technology transfer.

Invent for Humanity works to facilitate the transfer of life-changing Appropriate Technology by creating an “Ecosystem for Impact”, which includes the following organizations: Kopernik, Powered by Action, Certified Licensing Professionals, Inc. (CLP), LESI, and Global Access to Technology for Development.

The Invent for Humanity Ecosystem surrounds select needs organizations and technology providers to form a transparent marketplace for humanitarian technology transfer and IP licensing through two mechanisms: Product Campaigns and Enterprise Campaigns.
