The looming Medicare crisis and rising healthcare costs are forcing healthcare systems to discover ways to generate new sources of revenue. On Thursday, June 28, 2007, Phoenix area hospital executives discussed a solution at the first of five national Healthcare Retail Roundtables. The Roundtable discussion was led by The Paquin Group, the nation?s leading specialist in healthcare based retail.
During the initial working session, hospital executives learned how building a healthcare retail system is the key to capturing vital new sources of revenue and is an important strategy in supporting a hospital?s mission and strategic direction.
Some hospital executives, like Michael Lopez, Director of Strategic Planning for Sun Health, went into the session with some skepticism.
